Did you ever see such a gorgeous field? Almost a crime to dig on it.....but we did and it didn't disappoint. A silver Victorian Brooch, a silver love token, a fibula, lots of milled silver including Victoria and George III and other interesting if some unidentifiable objects, some possibly Roman. Did I mention Buttons?! More buttons than a button shop! But find of the day goes to Colin Rowley who found this Queen Mary I hammered silver, (1553 - 1558) in the first five minutes of the dig commencing!
