It didn't take long for Stephen Moverley to discover this weeks Club Dig Find Of The Day , using his Minelab Equinox 800 and showing up as 9 on the vdi. The very first hole of the day  uneathered this absolutely amazing gold ring with enamelling and set stone. Thought to be a 16th/17th century mourning ring , it will be interesting to see the finds liaison officers report into this find in the coming months.
