18th August - Wychbold

What a wonderful day, although I'm aching today! Six full hammered coins, of which four were found by Bill Burleigh, who also added a milled silver! What a day for him. Two cut halves and two quarters saved as well. There was also couple of other milled silver found. 

Deb had a couple of nice Jettons and Chris Mussell as well as his milled silver also had the best part of an ampula.  That's two ampula's in consecutive digs. But for those that were present, there can only be one 'Find of the Day', Lee Baldwin's George III 1/4 Gold Sovereign. What an absolutely wonderful find and no-one deserves it more than Lee. Congratulations Lee and to all those finders yesterday.
